Call it derivative of the Mazda 3 but I think this thing might even compete with the like of the VW Golf pretty nicely.

Wow! that's one HOT looking Kia. I never thought i'd say this, but i'd buy that! Usually hatches don't appeal to me but its a stylish design.

The interior looks much nicer than the Mazda 3 too!

Maybe ha;f the reason I like it is because it's NOT a mazda3. . . tongue.gif It looks good. I just wish that engine option was available here. THe CRDi I mean.

whoa, let's all chill. i stated more "likes" than "dislikes" in my post above, and i've said nice things about the cee'd in other threads as well. i'm just trying to be objective. one thing you won't get from me is blind praise and "towing the company line". but man oh man, everyone jumps on the slightest negative comment anyone makes... how about acknowledging the positive things i have to say? those seem to go unnoticed. i'm sure if you searched you'd find a bucketload of positive things i've said about hyunkia.

Very nice vehicle. Exactly the vehicle I was looking for, engine and all, if it was avaliable in this country. I think the styling and utility is excellent and handling on any compact car with "sport" suspension and decent tires is fun today.

Be interesting to see how they price it. The Kia Spectra5 and the Rio5 were very enticing to me but the price made me loose interest quick. I won't get my hopes up on this Kia hatchback either since I am sure they will be over confident and over price it as well.

A Kia needs to be $2000 less than a comparable model to be worth it since the car is worthless once you leave the showroom floor with it.

Two different redlines, two different engines. I'm not sure which one I'd go for, the diesel's torque and fuel economy...but the 4500rpm redline... I guess that's the point of torque, but..

I am perfectly happy not revving the crap outta the engine for every ounce of power.

No kidding. I can't remember the last time I revved my car that high, and I only did so to find the power curve. I would much rather have the low-end torque and fuel economy than the high revs.

I really like the styling of this car. I guess I would rather have another color than red/orange for the gauges, but I would get used to that pretty quickly. At least they kept that consistent, unlike our purple/red/vomit green theme.
