In a few words:
I didn't realize just how much flex the body of the hatch has until I added a bar.
In a slalom-type situation it makes the car snap right back. You'll realize just how sluggish the roll makes the car without it.

Interior-wise you will have to cut holes for the brackets to pass through both the felt-type interior paneling as well as cut a notch in the grey plastic of the speaker cover. Templates will be provided to minimize error.
