Argh I JUST vacuumed those floormats, lol, they're stained to death, and the driver's side one doesn't have any more ''rug'' to it, it's down to the plastic fibres where the clutch and gas pedal are, haha.
And the pile of CD's.. I used to have those window visor things, but it ran out of space, haha, and I have been using this way, and I love/recommend it to anyone!! As for the wires, I am planning on soundproofing the trunk this winter on my vacation (or even before if $$$/time permits it) and I will be hiding those wires behind the carpet ''panels'' Also, the 6x9s are going to hell and I just got some round 6.75'' fosgates for the stock location, so those wires will be gone aswell -------------------- Please, by all means, don't believe me in that post I just wrote, because everything I say is myth and a product of my imagination, and WILL result in the destruction of your own vehicle (according to some).

I give you a 9.8 mostly because of the fact your speedo goes up to 220. Seriously though, you've done a helluva job. A very good balance of power, handling and appearance. Superb looking wheels.
Some weak points... not many but bro you gotta detail your engine bay a little. Some of the wires are a little "sloppy" looking but those are nitpicks. More of a question then anything but the Cosmo short shifter looks positively tall compared to the TWM. Is it much shorter than say the OEM Tib one? Just to let you know, you got my vote in Best Modded. A very nicely modded Elantra. -------------------- |

Hehe thanks for the vote pal
For the points to mention: - I am so AF-RAID of detailing the engine, lol. I just keep hearing stories of malfunctionning electronics (and God knows how much electronics I have in there) after a detail the ''conventionnal'' way. Or is there some other technique I don't know of that doesn't include spraying degreaser everywhere and just hosing it down? I suck at detailing, remember - The Cosmo shifter, AFAIK, is some kind of a copy of the B&M. Frankly, I could go shorter. The TWM, when I tryed it for the first time in evan's car, was orgasmic, but, switching from a short shifter to an even shorter shifter is one of those mods that I think of doing completely at the end when I have nothing else to change on it (never going to happen, haha). - I forgot to mention, I am planning on hiding some of the wiring/tubing in the engine bay aswell, a couple of wires there already are going as soon as I get to work with the oil pres. sender (cant find the right head) and pyrometer again. - AAAANNNNDDD..... The overflow tank that is currently bolted onto the transmission case (yes, you heard it) will be replaced too. I am looking for a tibby overflow tank to go behind the headlight right now... -------------------- Please, by all means, don't believe me in that post I just wrote, because everything I say is myth and a product of my imagination, and WILL result in the destruction of your own vehicle (according to some).

Hey man, I've detailed TONS of engine bays the "conventional" way with no problems. If you use degreaser, (spray on) make sure you cover the alt, and cap. Try not to get it on your paint- but what I do, is spray it on the engine, then close the hood and spray off the paint just to be safe. Let the degreaser sit for about 10 minutes (works best if the engine is warm, but not hot) then spray it off. Again, hit the paint again to be sure. Let it dry and detail it in one of two ways- with a spray on detailer (which I find attracts dirt) or by hand (more tedious work, but looks amazing). You can use regular armour-all or whatever on the hoses, and I use detailing spray on any painted surfaces. Check out my engine bay to see the results.
If you can a clean engine bay, I would give you a 10 for sure. Your ride is friggin sweet. I have to admit, I voted for Spooky's ride because of the custom work he had done, but I struggled in the decision! You have an amazing balance of mods as Mitch has said. Great work! -------------------- Music Teacher/Geek for life!! |

I see soming like that and I think "Awesome! I wanna do that."
Then I get depressed cause it will never happen. You must not be married, or have kids, or have a house to maintain, or another car to maintain... 9.5 with points off for the wires and the CDs...and that garage...worse than mine. Ouch...that bike seat looks bad. -------------------- Why fly when you can GT?

9.8. Subtracted .2 because I don't like gauge pods. Don't they make some kind of all-in-one LCD display that will switch to whatever is abnormal? So many gauges just doesn't look elegant... makes cars look like some experiment that might explode at any minute. Anyway, an inch from perfection dude. Awesome job.
