ElantraClub - For Elantra Owners and Enthusiasts _ Elantra AD/MD/UD General _ New Battery Replacement

Posted by: CharlieC Sep 6 2016, 10:30 AM

My '11 Elantra Touring's original battery is starting to become weak with start-up. It's over 5 years old now. Are new ones just remove/replace, or is there some re-coding I need to do? I was looking at an Interstate replacement rather than a Hyundai. Any feed back would be appreciated.

Batteries are easy, just make sure it fits. Remove the battery hold down then remove the negative cable first. Then the positive one. Make sure they don't touch. Installation is the reverse. You'll have to reset your settings on the clock and stereo but that's about it. Hope this helps. - Mitch

Thanks so much, I figured the stereo and clock but wasn't sure about anything else...
