What is a factory cai you ask? Well its using the factory parts and getting cold air in the engine. It took Roys idea and took out the resonator out sometime ago and cut it up. I have a snorkel in the fender and pipe it to the stock air box. Next i installed a K&N filter. After the MAF i put in a short piece of cai pipe, painted it black for extra awesomeness. The most important part of this is to reset the ecu.

Here are the pics

After install when for a drive and it seemed to have a bit more in the midrange but that's it. Don't think it help make it go faster but the intake was cooler.

Nice Kyle! Are you going to drill holes out for the noise factor, or leave it as it? Have you driven it yet to check your butt dyno?

Nope going to leave it as is. Butt dyno says it has more mid range but falls on it face above 5k. That could just be that autotragic too, lol.

I did this to the Turd a couple years ago:

It actually works quite well, especially at highway speeds.

No more air than the SOHC Alpha pushes, one of those electric computer fans might work!

So after a month or so of having this i say its a must. Little more noise but way more throttle response. I also put in a test pipe, http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35370. These two make the car drivable, and not have to put your foot down to pass or get and the hwy. If you have an auto, I very highly recommend these two mods.
