QUOTE (stauf @ Apr 11 2006, 11:00 PM)
Thanks JP.  I dunno why some ppl find a need to intrude either..

Bob and everyone else has been pm'd earlier.

So, onto current stuff..  This is your last night/chance to snag this before the price goes up and I can't get them for you.  I would of thought saving 'over' 10 bucks would have yeilded more then two of ya..  But hey, all I can do is offer...  confused-scratchhead3.gif
*

Stauf, I PM'd and paypal'd you but haven't gotten any sort of confirmation response. Please let me know that you have me down as wanting one before the time is up.

I cant believe you only received two orders. I hope that number has increased since then.
When I first started looking to improve my clutch performance/feel, this was one of the things I saw as the biggest weak link next to the clutch valve, expecially if you plan to use a perfomance clutch. I was thinking of having one custom made since no one offered one for the Elantra, but I do not know of a shop I trust to make it. So when Stauf offered these, I was not only surprised(because I did not know anyone else even thought of this problem), but very happy since the price is great and and it is a company I trust. I do not know Bill personally, but here in So. Ca., his reputation in the automotive aftermarket industry speaks for itself. And I dont think he would take a chance ruining that rep by selling sub standard products.
I think the problem may be as I said stated before, no one has thought of the stock rubber clutch line as a problem yet. I have not tried one yet, but I would expect the improvement to be almost as good as removing the check valve, if not possibly better. For $30, even if the only improvement was in the looks department, it would still be worth it to me.
And yet we sit here and wonder why the aftermarket continues to ignore us.

I just got my line in the mail today and I've got to say it looks fantastic! Can't wait to install it along with the aluminum shift linkage bushings that will be arriving soon.

(for those that don't know those are the bushings that sit on top of the tranny, not the ones inside on the shifter frame)

Here are some pics.

OK J-Son and I installed it this afternoon and it seems to have made a big difference. When compared to his car (now with a fresh fluid change) my pedal is definately stiffer and springs back more.

I'd bet that in a drag race situation it allows the clutch to grab faster/stronger by a little bit. It will probably help with wear on the clutch surfaces too since it's reducing the amount of slippage (since it grabs harder/faster/stronger)

$30 is a GREAT price too. It's about the same for 1 SS brake line (4x30=120) so there's obviously no mark up or anything similar.

All in all....THANKS Stauf! Much appreciated.

oh and it does look "bling bling yo" under the hood now smile.gif

Forgot to mention I also received my clutch line. I have not installed it yet, but the quality looks top notch.
The improvements you metioned LateAPXR, are about what I was expecting. I cant wait to install it and feel for my self. The added bling factor is another nice bonus.
Thanks Stauf. Sorry the turn out was so small, but I truly apprecaite you doing it anyways.

Thanks JPJR & LateAP!

I also agree with JP with regards to the aftermarket.. Nobody seems to want anything, or if they do they just gripe about it until it comes out then everyone sits quietly with wallets closed tightly. I just don't get it.

JP, even Bill never thought of the clutch line.. I got some of the brake lines and thought, "what about the clutch?".. A day later at the vendor and viola, clutch lines! Bill goes only by his rep for only selling quality stuff, be it custom made or not. If it doesn't work right or isn't top notch, he ain't interested. All our stainless stuff is custom made with dot hardware.

Yes the turnout was umm, bleek... Just you two.. And we wonder why the aftermarket shuns us.. So, since I haven't left yet for TX (long horrid story), I'll continue to offer these. However the price is now $40 shipped. The early bird gets the worm, just ask jp or late. Any orders will be shipped on or before Monday the 24th.

Yes I'll ship internationally.

I believe he said $40 is the total now, w/shipping. There should be plenty left, just a matter of if he's moved to Texas yet or not.
