Hi all,
I am a 31 year old car enthusiast from Montreal, Canada I am a supervisor for a team of developpers in IT and a father of 2 kids. I currently have a 2011 Hyundai elantra touring GLS Sport (daily driver) and a Porsche 924 1979 (project) My list of previous cars are (in model year order, not acquisition order) 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer OzRally 2004 Mazda 6 V6 Wagon 1996 Toyota Paseo 1994 Ford Escort LX 2 Door 1993 Asuna Sunfire 1992 Ford Escort LX 4 door 1990 Toyota Corolla SR5 1989 Mazda 323 5 door 1988 Toyota Corolla SR5 1988 Toyota Mr2 T-Top 1987 Toyota MR2 hardtop 1979 Porsche 924 Plans for the Hyundai are simple 2013 - add insulation to quiet the interior - Put piano black vinyl on the chrome parts - Get lighter wheels with better tires(move down to 16" for better ride quality) Later - Black housing headlights - 2din radio conversion - Body lip kit - eibach springs in another lifetime maybe - Tiburon V6 conversion (probably won't keep the car that long) -------------------- A proud member of the club.

now why the tibby v6 ? with out a super charger its not that much of an improvement for some odd reason i was under the impression the V6 tiburon was around 250hp your reaction made me google it and found it was only 165hp...great deception hit me and I guess I'll simply change car when getting at that level :-) -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Welcome to the club man and great introduction! WOW, I thought I had a long list of cars (for being 30) but you clearly have me beat! Hopefully you hang onto that Touring for a little while as it seems like a great car to haul around your family in.
Feel free to make yourself at home and post any questions you have. We try to run an enthusiastic club that is happy to help out your members. We are not only Elantra enthusiasts, but in general all automotive enthusiasts. There are lots of members here with some great knowledge that have helped me out with many things. Definitely feel free to discuss your project car here too in addition to the Touring! We also are different than most automotive forums as we are not corporate owned and Mitch (elantraGT) keeps this place up and running for all of us to enjoy. If you like the vibe, definitely look at one of the VIP memberships. You get a bunch of extra's including access to VIP area only sections of the forum, a large arcade which is great for passing your lunch hour, and a chat box where we talk about anything and everything. Lots of other things in there too (check it out under the "community" dropdown in the top tool bar). Believe me it can get quite entertaining in the chatbox! Anyways, we like to have fun and try to get to know other club members, so defintiely welcome and fantastic intro post! -------------------- Please consider helping keep the club online and independent. Donate here to help the club.
