Sure the community isn't the same hyper active place it once was. The script for registering new members is broken. Many parts of the community are gone...
Sounds kind of bleak. But, you know what? We have some pretty cool members who have been here for years. And who I think genuinely have an affection for EC. We still have a very good forum with reliably fast load times. So... We're NOT closing. Let's post about anything here. It doesn't have to be about the Elantra. Don't drive an Elantra anymore? Who cares. Post about your new ride here. Got something that's bugging you? Vent about it. It's all good. Back to business. EC, smaller, less active, but... we're still here and we have good people. Hey-I continue to check new posts and use the arcade. & no hesitation. I've gotten 33 MPG on a trip to and from San Francisco, which is better than what I got with the Elantra. I plan on keeping it and the Audi S7 for a while. Red, I appreciate that you check in. But, the only way this works is if people start to post again. Honestly, I didn't even know if you still owned the car. Glad to get the mileage update. Thank you. -------------------- |

I'm glad I came back to check on the site. I could have a different daily driver, but I've never had a problem with my Elantra and the suspension upgrades make it a hoot to drive. I look forward to driving it through the curvy mountain roads next year.
P.S. The newer, more performance oriented Elantra could draw more members to this site. Targeting the crowd that buys that car will probably be a good idea. -------------------- 2004 Hyundai Elantra

So here's the problem with the current forum. Most of the important scripts were broken due to server changes. We can't get new members here because the registration script just doesn't work. I've made a big decision regarding the clubs future. Yes, this forum will be archived. Meaning that people will be able to view the topics and features but no more new posting will be possible.
I'm working on a brand new version of ElantraClub. It will be us starting from scratch. Starting with zero posts. Your login details from here will not work. You'll need to re-register. It will be setup much more simple but will be modern. The good thing is... it will work and we can get new members registering. Members who can post about their 2017+ cars as well as all the older generations. I don't think there's any other choice. Well the easy choice would be to shut down but that's not in my DNA. ElantraClub will rise again. Hopefully. What do you think? -------------------- |

It's still going to be ElantraClub but we've always had a section for people to talk about their non-Elantras. There's no changing the domain, it ElantraClub.com afterall. Not really sure why so many people have chosen to leave here. We had such an active and tight knit group for a long time.
A way too early sneak peek. As you can see, it's an all-new look with different software.: newclub.jpg ( 87.08K ) Number of downloads: 2 -------------------- |
