update:
I just got an e-mail back from hundaipartsonline.com FINALLY. And they said the only discount they can offer is 15% which turns out to be about 5 dollars off. And they would ship them all but not for free, we would still have to pay shipping. I think equus can get a better deal ( i hope) if he still is interested i think stauf was organizing that? -------------------- Lead, Follow, Or get out of the way!

Sounds good to me. Thank you for checking in to it and getting this group buy started. So Stauf, Equus, any chance of doing this? I know some things are still being taking care of with the last group buy, but if you guys are not to busy and up to it, I am sure everyone would love to get this group buy going.

No promises, I have the parts dept on line as I type. I will figure the shipping and cost and reply again. Canada might be a stretch due to the size and weight. It might be about the same as here even with the GB price. i don't know that yet. I have to see what the weight of this is going to be. I donot want to step on the wrong toes by doing this at the Corp. level. I will definitely do the best I can. if this is doable(is there such a word in English? ) I will do. -------------------- I thaw a putty tat..............I did..........I did.......

I think equus can get a better deal ( i hope) if he still is interested i think stauf was organizing that? I don't think I can do any better here. Just got off the phone...here is what they can do for me....$27.06 per unit. This does not include shipping. So which leads me to believe you folks are getting the same price right? Shipping is going to be the bummer as this is a bulky box. Weight is not that much of a factor, but its the size of the box thats a killer. So, by the time you all absorb the paypal fee and the shiping is calculated I don't honestly believe you will have saved any money. I would rather help you all on something that there is some substantial savings and not a few dollars or cents...my .000002 worth of advice. I don't mind doing it for you, just that I don't see a huge price break to really warrant a group buy. -------------------- I thaw a putty tat..............I did..........I did.......

Sounds like it is time to visit my local dealer. Thank you for trying Equus. But you are correct, the shipping cost for a box that size would be hard to justify for such an cheap part.
The part number is on the box in the photo on the first post, so anyone who still needs one, just copy down that number and take it to your local dealer. -------------------- |

Guy's let's back up and do the math. This is a helluva deal. The suggested retail is $39.50 according to hyundaipartsonline.com Their online price is $28.13 plus shipping which is what I paid... that's a nice deal. Now... take off another 15% and that's $4.22 off their already good price. Take $28.13 and subtract $4.22 and my math says you're paying $23.91...do you realize how good that price is?? That's 40% off suggested retail. You guys looking to get 'em free?

Okay, after figureing out the end prices here for each different source, anybody know the diamentions of the box and it's weight?
While I'm with Mitch here on the helluva price, I'd have to agree with Equus regarding paypal and shipping.. If anyone knows what the box size and weight is I could figure out what it could cost to ship then compare some final prices.. Remember, hyundaipartsonline wants $6.95 to ship anything, so your $23.91 goes up to $30.86 total. Now some paypal info. While I'm all for group purchases to show support for the group and to show others that we can not only come together as a group, but do it quickly and effectively as well. I guess it depends on the group thought here on this one. What do you guys think is the best option. I got a local dealer to give me a price of $30 and tax for these. While not the best price at least he was nice about it. Equus was given a price of $27.06 per unit, say you could ship it for $3 via the post office, your looking at $30.06 total. Which for me would be a better price. Now some more numbers.. $30.06 from above would require $31.25 from paypal. If you went with HPO, you'd need $32.10 to clear the $30.86 needed. Are we comparing change here? Yes, but the X factor is what would it cost via USPS to ship. Just because it's a box doesn't mean the price goes up, not with the post office.. Sorry for the long post here, but anyone got some specs on that box? -------------------- "Dusting is a good example of the futility of trying to put things right. From the pics, I woud say 8"x8"x10"
Part of my concern was the time and work that would go into this. I thought I remembered someone saying you could get these for about $27 from your local dealer, but I could be wrong. If someone is willing to spend their time to put a group buy together and can keep cost(shipping)reasonable, I am still in. -------------------- |

i can't remember the dimensions of the box that it came in, but it's practically weightless. shipping via USPS priority would probably run $4.30.
