I am happy to announce that the 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Area Meet (all Hyundai) has officially been scheduled! We would love for all to join us in getting together on a nice summer day enjoying awesome cars, people and food!
The event will once again be held in the Brady's Run Park (same as last year) in Pavilion 14. We are asking for a $7 donation for the sole purpose of supplying a meal for all including drinks, side dishes and a cake. We will be meeting at the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca, PA again to caravan over to the park to limit the amount of possible people getting lost - this worked out extremely well last year and we even had a police escort to help get us all on the road together from the mall. More details will be provided in the near future and the date will then be set in stone. Looking forward to all who can attend! Also - please note that your car does not have to be a "top notch" modded vehicle to attend, we all are car enthusiasts who are looking to have a reason to get together and enjoy a day together! Here is the Facebook event page for the event - we plan on keeping this updated as best as possible. Also will be helping any and all that will need to be booking a hotel for the stay (getting some hotel names as I write this to start helping everyone). https://www.facebook.com/events/212093938919512/?ref=3 Also: here is the link to the entire photo feed from last year's event (you do NOT need a Facebook page to view the photos) https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4...5037&type=3 Here is a photo from last year - all_cars.jpg ( 181.3K ) Number of downloads: 4 -------------------- |

Awesome! Obviously it is FAR away from now but the more time we allow, hopefully more turnout. I will be sure to keep this thread as updated as possible with news/details as they are made available. Looking forward to getting a lot of EC up to Pittsburgh

Kate, are there any campgrounds nearby? I might bring the camper if I go.

Tom - I am doing some research as we speak for you on this.
I have never been to a camp ground site around here however here are a few off the top of my head, I would want to do some more research on reviews and such before booking. 1. Bear Run Campground (184 Badger Hill Road, Portersville, PA 16051 / (724) 368-3564) http://bearruncampground.com 2. Indian Brave Campground (159 Perry Highway (Rt 19) Harmony, PA 16037 / (724) 452-9204) http://indianbravecampground.net/ 3. Cooper's Lake Campground (205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057 / (724) 368-8710) https://www.cooperslake.com/home/index.php 4. Crawford's Camping Park (275 Hodgson Rd, Darlington, PA 16115 / (724) 846-5964) I cannot find a website for this park If you look into all of these and do not see one you are satisfied with I will do more research into finding one! -------------------- |

Do we usually have a turnout large enough to negotiate rates on hotels?

Swee, we booked a certain amount of rooms last year and fell very short of that so if we were to find enough people (solidly planning) to show up we could probably work on a deal.

Ok. Maybe I can just book online when I know for sure I'll be attending. I don't see a problem yet....

Awesome, I'll have to see how things are going then, but would love to try and make it up there!

I would love to come. However I just got rid of my Hyundai. Can I still come with my Subaru? I mean to see everyone. I don't need to be in pictures
