Quick note: If you've got a bunch of pm's in your inbox please delete them as it will go a long way to keeping things fast here. Thanks.

i think we need a seller feedback section here. i know on some other sites, people have been ripped off. this will help in determining the value of someone selling stuff on this site. it will also build trust between the members here.
thanks for reviewing this.
and please post any comments you may have about this, whether positive or negative.
thanks

I know this area is really for members to comment on the club but I wanted to reverse the tables and comment on our members.
You guys (and gals) are what makes me enjoy this place so much. And for that you have my thanks. It never stops amazing me the quality of member we seem to get. I can't really speak of the other forums to compare because i don't know the membership like I know our club's ... all I know is...
:egtmem:
And if you're thinking there goes Mitch "schmoozing" the members... I sure am. You guys deserve some serious props!

yeah, i thought maybe transfering the post count. i'm not sure how tedious this may be, but post count tells you the experience and what not of the poster, since we all have joined the new forum at the same time, it may be a lil hard to determine all that.
just a thought.

I looked a little bit through the HELP, but didn't see what I was looking for.
I try to read all the new posts, but sometimes I can't read them all in a sitting. The problem is when I come back, it only shows me the new posts since my last visit. I still want to read all the posts that I have not read. Is there a setting I can change for myself or perhaps globally for all users?
It does look like all the threads that have a new post that I have not read show the icon, but I'm not always brought to the newest post I haven't read, but sometimes the newest post since my last visit.

Am I blind, or is there no spell check. My spelling is terrible and rely on that feature.

To make a thread load super fast toggle the "outline" button at the top/right of the first post. This will allow only the first post to show fully and all the other responses will be in a quick outline form below it. This will be memorized until you change it back to "standard" . Just another option I like to use sometimes.

This is probably in the help somewhere, but I write documentation (well sometimes, not a full time thing thank God!), I don't read documentation!!
But if you click on this (It is next to the "Mark all posts read" option at the bottom of the main page), it essentially logs you off because it is a cookie that stores your log-in info. Good to know it works I guess, but just don't be surprised (like I was), when you are no longer logged in!! Probably a good idea if you are going to use this "feature" that you do it at the same time you are planning to log out anyway. You still should be using Internet Options to delete all your cookies and empty your temporary cache on a regular basis anyway.

Have they bowed out?
If you don't want to have a specific forum for SPB, how about an Electrical forum, perhaps under the Maintenance forum?

I've had some feedback that some folks felt that having all the sub-forums made this place seem too "complex". But the beauty of subforums is that it allows things to be more precise. And precision will, in the long run, make it easier to navigate the site.
So I am leaving the current sub-forums intact... I may even as more as needed.
But I did make a bit of a change. While the sub-forums still are there, they are not listed on the main forums page. Once you click on a given category, though, you'll see the sub-forums, if any, inside the category.
Let's see if this works better for members.

Doesnt anybody like to post??
I mean Take for instance "Rate My Elantra" Only my car is on that section, On top pf that, only 14 votes. This is one of the areas that made ezboard so terrible. when I post something, I want to get opinions, NOT VIEWS. If this site succedes is because people will find it informative and helpfull.
I did Mention to Mitch that, IMO there are Way to many sections, This makes the site slower to navigate, That is just my opinion.
Lets get active in here

Am I just mising it? Is there a "Mark all forums read" button on the main page? I clicked on "view new posts" and it showed the new ones plus the ones from my last visit. I know there is one for each individual section, just looking for the one for the entire forum.

I really think the host/server I'm using is first rate, but today is the first time we've gone live with so many members here. How's the speed on the forums?

I thought if you put the following code; <img src=""> in the text part of a post and put your picutre location inbetween the "", your pic would show.
It doesn't seem to work here though

I/we use the same forum software at forum.neow.net (a 4x4 forum). I've got nothing but good things to say about the forum and the support.
Nice choice guys.

There are two ways to do it. You can click the "mark forum as read" link at the top of the actual forum or you can click the forums "lit" icon (the one showing new posts) on the front main page.
