QUOTE (gonzo777 @ Feb 2 2008, 10:14 PM) *
Is there a date for this year yet?

May is looking like a busy one for me (Ma's day and my college grad on the 11th and running a 5k on the 17th) but I at least want to make it out for Friday night like last year!

yes, it will be May 10th and 11th is what they have so far

it will be neat to hang out with ya again smile.gif

I'm assuming that the 2 Elantras in F class are our very own Bob and J-Son. I think I'm be coming out to watch, my buddy decided not to compete this year. If I make it down I'll look you guys up.

As I was perusing the entries this caught my eye. Which one of these is not like the others?

03 Evo
Mitsu EVO 46 A +6
Noble M400 16 A+16
Honda Civic 95 A
05 Mitsu. EVO VIII 34 A+9
04 Subaru WRX STI 24 A+4
03 Mitsu EVO VIII 28 A+3
Evo8
996 AWD Turbo
Nissan 240 S14

Also, what do the letters and numbers mean on the end? Base class plus mod points?

cORRECT, Class. We are classed A-F. All cars get a "base class" and then points are added for modifications. You're allowed +20 POINTS TO STAY IN CLASS.

And yep, that's jason and I.

Oh, we're having a little get together the night before at my place. Looks like a few other WW competitors will be there as well.

It's over. .. great time, good cause and Jason pulled one out of his butt to beat me! At least I beat him on the drags!

I didn't get but a couple pics. But there were some good ones of the car. . .

Was the course similar to last year's?

If so, I saw a couple of cars get all 4 wheels off of the ground there. There is a huge peak of concrete that is around 1/4 of the way into a turn.

Glad you guys had a good time, and good weather, as compared to Sunday.

They were slow @ slower. . .I think my best wasa 16.668 @ 83,ph. They were hot lapping us again and my first run I had massive wheels spin/hop and then burnt 2nd all the way to the 1/8 and 3rd grabbed hard. . . to the tune of a blistering 17.2@ 78mph! Nothing like a 3.x 60' time! Slips are in the car, I'll pu them in when I get the chance.

Something that did pop up . . . Jason has an 04, CVVT with 17's and 225/40's, CAI, header and a side exit. I'm 225/45/16. lighter with CAI non-CVVT and cat back. He would pull a little in 1st (better grip than me), even in second and I'd always chase him down in 3rd. so the lighter wheels made up the difference at the end.

I found out Sunday that not only did I beat Jason in the drag strip, but also in the car show! I won 3rd in class for the car show portion of the event and have the certificate to prove it! I guess all that detail work on Thurs beforehand came through!
