also looking into picking up an intake manifold off of Ebay to do a little porting to. found a few in the $70 shipped range and professional porting is around $250. im thinking I can port the TB area and runners no problem and smooth them out but I don't have a flowbench to test it once Im done. im going to go local and see if any machine shops are willing to do it on the cheap.

ive paid up to $100 for a set of phenolic spacers (TB, and IM) custom made so i don't consider it a horrible price. i dont have any concrete data i would have to find the emanage logs but i was not really seeing any difference in temperatures AFTER a short period of time that the car was running.

I guess ill pass on the spacer then and look into getting the intake manifold ported.

I'v heard of people getting some results for porting.

i feel the port/polish should always be done first. if you're going with a mild build, that part could potentially be the most expensive, and the mod that can take the longest to get done. so why not get it out of the way?

I updated my TB thread but ill add it here too. I have found a place to cut open, port match and gasket match the throttle body and intake runners and then re-weld the manifold back up. I am waiting for my intake manifold to come in the mail and ill get it sent off ASAP.
