Still lovin' my new gt but gotta improve the horn when locking. My wife makes a sour face whenever I double click the lock. Any suggestions? Replace the factory or add a second that would make it dual tone?

Eta: experimenting - horn is different when double click the key fob. The actual horn sounds ok. The lock sound is weak. Maybe I can tap the lock sound to the main horn

Yes the horn is different from the locking system. When locking it should beep.

It sure is. What I did was to splice the alarm horn (it came off a Viper system) from my old car to the existing alarm horn located on the passenger side of the engine bay. Arming chirp now doesn't sound like a dying goat.

It seems the alarm sound is a common complaint. Thankfully the tech system has a chirp so I didn't have to worry about changing it out. Nothing more embarassing than locking your sweet looking ride and having an embarassing beep!

The horn on the Touring is embarrassing.

or alternatively, you can go through the vehichle settings between your gauges and turn off the horn recognition, which is what I did lol. but that viper alarm chirp sounds like a good idea to me.
