I have an '05, same car for the most part. The best and probably most ideal way is to get a new headunit. Trust me, it makes even the stock system sound even better. And you can buy one with the iPod AUX port. It's less of a hassle and worth the extra money.

How much is it gonna cost me? I'm not looking to spend a lot of money.

Honestly, I went to best buy, bought the dash kit, the adapter, and the radio for like a total of $127.xx. I mean, really, there's no other successful way I've found. ): I could make up a DIY for you, if you'd like. Some people used the same OEM radio single DIN kit, but I just bought a new one to be safe for possible fitment issues.

I understand not wanting to spend money. It was a deal compared to other choices, though. And so worth it.

$127? Wow. Kinda pricey. I was under the impression that this simple thing was cheap. A friend of mine installed a ipod wire in '05 his civic for around $30.

Well, if you take out the OEM radio, there's no real way TO attach an iPod cable that I found while changing mine out. I got my radio for about $80 bucks. You should get the adapter as to not splice into the OEM wiring, which is a pain in the ass. whether or not you reuse the dash kit is up to you, fitment wise.

Sadly, (and what I praise) is that these cars aren't like Civics. There's nothing really cheap about this car. I hate to break that to you. I just replaced my windshield fluid nozzles and they cost me $30 bucks.

Ouch. Is there no other cheaper option?

Hm, I can do some research. Give me a few. I'll try to find you the best option.

Get a tuner for the iPod and go that route.

The stock radio doesn't have a port of any kind to connect aux devices, if I recall correctly. Radios between manufacturers vary widely, so you cannot compare a Honda to a Hyundai for a reference on auxiliary inputs and cost.

Yup. Did some research, and there's no "8-Pin" box to attach an AUX cord to. Everyone who has attached an AUX cord had an aftermarket HU.

Here's a really good deal from Best Buy online with free shipping. That's the price I spent on my Pioneer deck, I'd get this if I could afford it.

Always make sure to call and double-check the radio will fit into the car. Although I have no idea why it wouldn't...

If you have an '04 GT, you should have a Kenwood headunit, and Kenwood does make a adapter for it (KCA-iP500) and are ~ $30 on e-bay.

Really? I had the Kenwood, and there was nothing back there to plug an adapter to... Weird. I do have the Premium Sound package in my GLS, though. I guess there's a difference in the radios they used? Or am I misguided?
