Did that. It came back on. Looks like it's under the car I go. Hopefully I can find this valve easily... kiatechinfo.com doesn't have nearly the nice pictures that hyundaitechinfo.com does.

You do know about the Kia service site too, right? It's just like HMAService but for Kia.

See my quote above. Yes, I do know about it. Their pictures with locations of parts aren't nearly as comprehensive as alldata.

So tonight, I guess it's purge valve on the Rio, oil filter and brake slide pins on the Elantra. Fun on a bun!

Once you get into the newer Hyundai based stuff the pictures get a lot better. The old Kia pics sucked. I remembered the slow changover on the parts catalogs through then.

Still troubleshooting this problem. I've checked the canister and the valve and they appear okay. I've got good suction from the purge valve to the canister. Looking for a fuel leak in the tank, and about the only thing I can see that might be leaking is the hose that runs from the filler neck to the tank. I don't see any cracks or holes around the neck or anywhere else up high.

Would a bad carbon canister cause a gas leak back at the tank?

Vinnie, can you work your alldata magic again, perhaps?

So I'm finally finding some time to really work on this, and I'm trying to pull the filler hose. It's got about 1.5" of each of the filler neck and the nipple on the tank stuck in either end and the ends won't budge. I've already broken off the clamps (the adjustment screws were more solidly rusted than ol' P'Blaster could loosen), but I'm not worried about the hose magically just falling off. Anybody have a helpful suggestion on how to get the hose out of there?

Yeah, since it's brand new. The wife left it somewhere, so I had to go get another one. Considering I've found gas on the ground under it after she's filled up, pretty sure.

Possibly, but that looks like it might be a giant PIA.
