Does the 2014 Elantra Gt need to be broken in before driving it a little harder? or is the engine broken in at the facotory?

I'd give it a bit of a break-in period, regardless of what may have been done at the factory. It won't hurt anything (except maybe initial fuel mileage) and ought to offer some peace of mind.

If you ask a 100 people you'll get 100 answers. Personally I prefer to take it a little easy the first couple hundred miles. There is no formal break in period required, but I figure let me make sure everything is working before I push it hard.

Congrats on the new GT!!! Post up some details on your new ride and some pics. Welcome to the club too!
