Yes, a rear fog light ... and red.  The red is because it's at the rear of the car.  You turn it on in the fog so people can see you better ... it's about the same brightness as a brake light.  I like the cars better with just one rear fog because you don't mistake them for brake lights.

I wish we had that here. I could piss off people who ride my ass with that light.

Hyundai Canada should offer that instead of the Accent; they would increase their sales tenfold... B)

QUOTE
Because of the fuel economy ratings?

.. that and because compared to the other subcompacts, the Getz scores pretty high up in the aesthetics department (IMO anyways)... Just looking at the interior shots of the Getz, the Accent's dash and interior looks "aged" compared to the Getz's... Compared alongside the Chevy/Daewoo Aveo, Toyota Echo HB/Yariz and Suzuki Swift, the Accent just looks, well, cheap (no offense to Accent owners).. And those fuel ratings, after comparing the numbers from the Hyundai Canada and Oz sites, I'm even more impressed; the Getz beats the Accent's ratings by almost 2 L/100 km.. Dang thumbsup.gif

I like that little car very much! It's very nice and seems practicle!

My girlfriend recently bought a 2005 Accent GS Confort. But prior to that, she wanted the Echo Hatch. So we test drove it. All I have to say is... Why but oh why are so many people driving a piece of crap like that? Really? My Chevette was WAY better than that. I'm damn serious. Unless I drove a lemon, this was the worst experience in a car I have even had. Yes it's attractive but that's it.

It's noisy as hell, felt cheap and the shifting was the worst I have even felt. Hyundai is way ahead that Toyota in small cars for sure. When my GF sat in the car, the looked at me and said, EEEEW... Then as soon as she leave the lot, she takes a side road and said.. "It's a piece of crap, you drive". I said sure, what does she know... Man, she was right! The shifting was rough with everything else. A 5 minute test drive, included 2 red lights.

I'm sure the Getz is better! I think people drive certain car like Honda or Toyota because of the name or the basic look, not from what the whole driving experience feels.

Anyways, we then test drive the Accent, she thought she was in a luxury car compared to the Echo. Now, whealer dealer Bigs got her an awsome deal! We both drive Hyundai's!

Good to see Toyota didn't earn another based on a their reputation Bigs!

The Accent is a nice car still, although the interior really shows the old Hyundai. The Getz has plastic as well, just the Getz feels more up market.

I'm very surprised Hyundai never brought the Getz to the USA. It's really a good little car with no flaws.

ERRRRR!!! Echo!!!, My mate has one...he rocked up with it in my driveway. I told him to get that POS out of my driveway and park it across the street!
...He actually listened to me. I can't have people thinking my friends have bad taste like that!

He he he! I can't believe he listened! rofl.gif My rating is based on what I feel when I drive, not just on the look like some people!

Thanks for the Getz Links!

No probs Bigs.

Accent is a nice drive...i have to agree, Many people say that once they drive the 5speed.

The gearbox isn't as notchy as they always point out in reviews.

Looks like the Getz is using the 1.5SOHC accent motor. Other than being a little underpowered, they were really pretty good. I don't recall seeing any probs with them.
