I got my car a few months ago. So far I really like it. The Hyundai warranty made the sale a no brainer. Every time I even begin to regret not getting a Civic, I just think of the many more years and miles of coverage I get with Hyundai. I made a 500+ mile trip from SC up to DC and ended up not having to refuel. 44mpg, and that is including heavy traffic in and near DC. I find the car to be really quiet and smooth on the road, and the turbo has a nice pick up to it. It is also comfortable for the most part. It is taking me a while to figure out all of the technology as far as the android auto, and other things. This is surprising because I am pretty savvy with that stuff, but this isn't exactly intuitive. If I commit more time to it, I'd probably be better with it, but I'm typically in the car to drive it, not play with the tech.
One complaint I have is that there really isn't a comfortable place to rest my left arm. I'd typically put my elbow on the window, but the thin ledge doesn't allow for that. And the "rest" on the door is too low. Something I am still getting used to. I ended up buying a 3rd party product call the Arm 'Restler or something. It helps, but it isn't perfect. I may end up designing something on my own. I'd really like to be able to have something to rest that arm on during long trips. Also, I am a little over 6' tall, so there isn't much room above my head either.
I hope to get some advice on the forum. Good to be here.

Hey everyone,
Brand new to the forum, just a quick question for y'all. I am currently on the mission to install a side license plate relocator for my 2017 elantra limited. I could not find anything here in Toronto, only the relocator for the Genesis. Any help finding one?
Regards,
D

I just got a 2014 Elantra Limited and am learning more about it. Already bought a spare tire kit from Ebay (my Limited has 17" tires, but it seems spares only come in 15"). I had already read others suggesting buying a whole wheel/tire combo, but couldn't afford (or lift) it. Now, I've already read the post that may help me to change from the plain Blue Link mirror to the Homelink mirror (I'd really like that). First, getting used to the whole thing, coming off a 2000 Lincoln LS v6. Just thought I'd say Hi, and thank you all for the upcoming insights you'll be providing me!

Hello everyone!
So, as the title suggests, I'm new. So, I'm not the owner of the '12 Elantra in my driveway, it belongs to my wife. But, she's coming up on 100K miles here soon, so I figured it would be a good idea to find a good forum site with knowledgeable members, good mechanical experiences, and all that fun stuff!
I look forward to all the help and crazy projects I can get into on her car, when I'm not tinkering with my truck.
Thanks guys, see you in the threads.

Anyone got or seen pics on installing a trans filter on the return line?
I'm a new 2017 Elantra owner and would like to see about installing this. Done it on my Odyssey and love it.
Just not sure how hard it would be on this smaller vehicle.

my name is Victoria, and I'm an owner of a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS.
So, I guess since I'm new here, I thought I'd say hello. I'll admit, I don't know a whole heck of a lot about cars, but I'd like to learn as much as I can from everyone here. I have some rust spots I'd like to sand out and paint, and I'd love to get a body kit put on and some performance upgrades done. I'm not sure where to start, but if I have any questions I'll ask!

Hey everyone,
New member from Manitoba (Winnipeg area), just signed up the other day.
Picked up a demo 2015 GL, only had 300kms on it.
Have had an Elantra before as a rental vehicle, was pretty impressed with the ride, comfort and gas mileage.
Thinking of adding wheels, maybe a lip kit and that's about it.

Hey guys. So I got a new Elantra and whenever I fuel it I have to find the perfect angle for the nozzle to fuel it. I can't even set it down and let it fuel itself. I have to hold down the trigger. The dealership said its a normal thing that effects all of them. Anybody have some tips and tricks for fueling?
Also interested in knowing what kind of overall mpg you guys get? I get about 26-27.

I've got a 2016 Elantra GT Base. In other words, it doesn't have the high dollar entertainment system (or whatever it's called). I do, of course, have the standard USB port. The Owner's Manual is as clear as mud as to what devices it will accept. I've tried my Amazon Fire tablet, and that's a no-go. I also have an Apple Mp3 iPod Shuffle. On my former Elantra (2010 GLS Sedan) it would play one group of songs, and that was it. Will it adapt on the 2016? Or do I need to use another device?
Thanks for the help

I have a 04 5 speed Elantra hatch that I am working on to get her up to a better condition than she is now.
She only has 111 thousand K's on the clock and just replaced a cracked radiator gave it an oil change, coolant, spark plugs and air filter to day
tommorw will be inspecting the brakes.
Anyway Hello
Oh and one question that I admit I havent researched is can you replace the 4 stud wheel patern to 5 stud? it seems there are more wheel types available for 5 stud here in AUS. cheers

Does anyone know where the turn signal relay is on the 2012 Elantra?

Looking to do stealthy connection; Does anyone know the {pin outs} of the center panel AC controls on 2012 Elantra? Looking to use the two bottom push buttons for control of exhaust and tune (open/close; regular/track or simply on/off); I believe they are for factory heat of front seats but mine are blank (don't have this option) but looking to swap out and use them as toggles...

New to the forum so let me say Hi first...lol
Just started my upgrades on a very long list of to-gets / to-do and wondering if anyone has taken the seat back off the front seats? If so what is the method? i am looking to add monitors for the rear seat riders and need to run wires inside the seat; i am sure there are tabs but I don't know the locations and not trying to tear up my seat backs

Hi,
I am a newbie in this forum, and I would like to say "Hi" to everyone in ElentraClub.
For the last several days, I have tried to search a compatible bluelink, compass and homelink for my Elentra Limited 2016.
The up-to-date information is the part number 3Q062-ADU00, which is working with Elentra Limited 2014 with some moditications.
It seems that the part number 3Q062-ADU00 is not compatible with Elentra 2016 after my research.
I took a change to buy the used part on ebay.
Before I plugged-in the harness, I measured the voltage at the car OEM mirror connector harness to make sure that it is matching the 3Q062-ADU00 specifications (pin 6 and 10). Every pin is matched except the car OEM connector has extra blue white at pin 9. After the measurement, I just plugged-in the car OEM mirror harness connector to the mirror.
The results were great.
All features such as BlueLink, HomeLink, compass, autodim features are currently working.
I just want to share the information to the EletraClub :-)

Hello everyone! This is my first forum I have ever been on so hang in there lol
I just picked up a 2016 elantra (base model) last week to use as my daily. It has standard halogen reflector housings. I want to put some projector headlights on the car so I can use HIDs.
Basically, my question is if the headlights for previous models would fit the 2016? They make a few headlights that I like that have halos and angel eyes that are very affordable. I am just unsure of fitment. I see on some pages that they have some advertised for the 2011-2016 elantra, but most others say just for 11-12, or 12-14 etc. Any help would be great!

ok so im new to Hyundai's. I just bought a used 2000 Elantra. not sure which model it is as the title doesn't say. its a manual if that
helps. anyways, when I turn on the headlights, the brake lights are always on. and on top of that, if I get in the car with nothing on,
and hit the brake pedal, the instrument cluster lights come on as well as the brake lights. (I understand that the brake lights coming
on when you hit the brakes means they are working as advertised) So I did a little digging and al the fuses are good. during trouble-
shooting, I took the ETACS fuse out and again hit the brake pedal. this time the instrument cluster didn't illuminate and the brake
lights worked as advertised. so at this time, I thought maybe I had it figured out but was wrong. even with the ETACS fuse out, when
I turned the headlights on, the brake lights still stay on. and the instrument cluster comes on when I turned the headlights on as
advertised even with the ETACS fuse out. I tried looking up a wiring diagram to see if I could make some gains, but I couldn't find a
clear wiring schematic on the enternet. please help

I am driving the 2014 Elantra GL 1.8 L 4Dr Sedan. I would like to get some information redarding places to get
1. Fog lights with kit and installation ( GL did not come with fog lights)
2. Body Kit.
3. Spoiler.
4. LED Door sill ( written Elantra)
5. Alloy wheels
It would be great if anyone could direct me to any shops in Toronto.
Also i would like to know...... currently I a getting Av. 10.5 L/100Km in city. I have the eco on..... Is this a gud average? before buying I read reviews that the Av. in city would be around 7 L/100 Km.Please let me know and advice how to reach that goal.
Is there any way to increase the hp without compromising the mpg?
Thanks.
