How is it I haven't managed to post an announcement the last 2 years?!
Anyway, the date for the biggest, best party of the year has been set! It's the 10th anniversary edition this time around! Come on out to beautiful Ypsilanti, MI on 7/16/16 and prepare to have a blast! There's a big ol' pig, a keg o' beer, bounce houses and rock and roll provided by
Lagerhaus5 and others! Hit me up for more info and hope to see you there!

Here it is, folks... the announcement you've been waiting for: the date for this year's Pig Roast has been decided! Mark your calendars: July 13th is when it all goes down!
For those of you that haven't heard of this party, it is absolutely worth the trip to beautiful Ypsilanti, MI. There will be hot roast pig (duh), fresh from a local Michigan farm, cold keg beer (Labatt Blue, Canada's finest), lots of rock and roll music featuring
Lagerhaus5, a bonfire (provided there isn't a drought this summer... damn burn bans!), lots of cool people and just generally a great time! The property is ~1.75 acres, so there's plenty of room for camping (ask slowgls or sarge), it's kid-friendly (think bounce house *and* trampoline) and is just a great way to spend a summer Saturday.
There will be more details forthcoming, but if you'd like info in advance, feel free to PM me. Oh, and yes, it's earlier in the year than normal... with any luck Horste 2.1 will be on his/her way within 72 hours of the party... that's how it happened in 2009 when our first was born.

The date for the 2012 Pig Roast! has been announced. Mark your calendars for July 21st! More information will follow as the date gets much closer, but if you ask Kyle and Steve they'll tell you it was a great time last year despite the weather. Look for it to be on the Club Calendar shortly and feel free to ask me any questions you might have about it. A short rundown would include:
Lots of roast pig
Lots of cold beer
Music by
Lagerhaus5, as well as other musical guests
Stay tuned, rock and rollers!

Mark it on your calendars, this year's annual PIG ROAST!!!! will be Saturday, 8/20/11, in Ypsilanti MI. This is the event that Sarge was going to kick off his whirlwind U.S./E-Club tour with last year until logistics got in the way (and I understand *that* particular problem has been sorted). There will be:
Lots of hot, roast pig
Lots of cold keg beer
Music by
Lagerhaus5Bounce house
Fun and frivolity of all sorts
Camping for those too partied-out to find their way elsewhere (the house is on ~1.25 acres, so lots of room)
Hope Sarge can make the trip this year, and maybe we'll get some other MW E-Clubbers out to partake of the swine-ly goodness.
Feel free to contact me for more details.

Hey guys,
Anyone in the St. Louis area? I am looking for an HD and new MD for testing. You'd get a free Diode Dynamics LED kit for your time. It only takes about 2 hours. Please post here or PM!
For more info on the kits, please check out this thread:

OK, so I'm trying to organize some form of midwest get together/auto-x weekend thingy. We have the use of Indianapolis Raceway Park/ORP/LORI for our events, which makes it a nice, large central location with a great lot to run in. The dates open are April 3rd, April 17 at ORP and MAy 1st at Grissom Aeroplex in Peru Indiana. The two earlier dates are the ones at IRP/ORP/LORI and would be the best of the dates. These do fall on a Sunday, and we may be able to make this a Saturday night cookout/bonfire at my place on Sat.
Anyone interested? THoughts?

The Hyundai dealerships in NE Ohio are starting to adbvertise the 2011 Elantras in the Plain Dealer. No notes on prices, just ads saying they are in stock and available for delivery.
I also saw an ad for a 2010 Elantra GLS new for under $14k. I don't see too many SEs left, and a few blues floating around, so it looks like the new 2010s will be gone by year end or the end of January at the latest.

Any E-Clubbers in the SE Michigan/NW Ohio area, make your way to Maybee and the Silver Star Bar tonight for some good ol' rock and roll with me and my band, Lagerhaus5! Check the myspace link in my sig for more info... and just look for the black GT that matches up with my avatar. I'll be the guy in the middle, singing and playing guitar. Hope to see your face in the place!

Does anyone have any recommendations/warnings for a place to get tinting done out my way?
I'm located in Naperville, west burb of Chicago. I heard there was a quality place in Oswego, but not sure of the name.
Thanks for any suggestions...
Also posted this in exterior modding, as I'm up late and a little punchy from lack of sleep.

my clutch is slipping pretty bad.
I bought a fidanza flywheel and I'm about to buy the ACT clutch kit (HY1-HDSS #2088 "performance street disc") - problem is I lack the tools, talent, location (I have a garage but no lift or decent jack) and knowledge to do the work all by myself.
anyone out there want to trade beer/pizza/good times, or just plain cash, for helping me take care of this?
I have a friend who normally helps me but he's extremely busy with school.
I am basically broke otherwise I'd just have a mechanic or the dealer do it.
and by the way, I'm not totally useless - I've replaced belts, starters, spark plugs, wires, rotors, calipers, etc... even did my own CAI, just never a clutch before. so it's about 40% guidance 60% "this is how you do it"
anyone?

I just found out that my Great Aunt Marcy passed away last night. She lead a long and fulfilling life, but has been really sick for the last few years. Her passing was a good thing because she'll finally be able to get some rest and not be in and out of the hospital. I'll be driving up tomorrow for the funeral on saturday.
Anyone want to meet up sometime this weekend? (I'll be staying in Birmingham)
