Hey people I am gonna go to the 2013-Model Tampa Bay International Auto Show in the convention center on Saturday December 8.

Tropical Storm Debby wasn't all that bad of a storm, but it parked itself off the coast for so long, causing constant winds and rain for what seemed like an eternity. I worked at my shop throughout the rainy weekend, trying to complete a finishing job on a dining table & chairs under a deadline. Everything was fine when I left work on Sunday evening around 7pm. I came back to the shop around 8am to pick up some pieces to deliver back to customers and heard a lot of dripping upon going inside. It was raining rather heavy, so I must've been distracted enough not to have noticed this:



I took that picture Monday afternoon when we had a short break from the rain. My furniture repair shop is directly behind that tree by my truck & trailer. The roof is peeled back from the unit next to mine to the end of the building, within 20 feet of my shop. I did have water dripping through in a few spots, and a lot of it running down one wall, but at least none of my equipment or customer wares were damaged.

This is the view from the other end/back side of the building.


I had a window of time between calls on Tuesday, thought I'd stop by Lido Beach since I was driving by... waves were about 10-15 feet, winds were pretty strong as well. I couldn't believe how many people were still playing around in the water.

So if anyone is interested, I'll be meeting up with Aintnonerd and GTBoy next Sat the 12th down in the Sarasota area just to hang and get some photos of the cars n such. If anyone else wants to come, the more the merrier.

Hello everybody! just dropping by, wondering if anyone lives in or around st. pete, and if we could perhaps chill,swap knowledge and the sort.

Here's hoping all our members from the Southeast made it through the storms OK. I've never seen anything that wild since we moved to TN. We ended up taking shelter with everyone in the laundry room for an hour or so last night when one of the worst storm cells blew past. No damage for us thankfuly since the cars were inside. Many of our friends lost glass on thier cars and homes due to the hail. I'm sure the insurance adjusters and body shops will be busy for a while.

Hi, there. I'm hoping to finally get my 2011 Elantra Touring sometime in the next few weeks. I don't trust the dealers to tint my windows, so I'm looking for recommendations for independent shops in the DFW area (preferably mid-cities) that do good work.

I'd also appreciate opinions about what type of tint is best.

On Friday, I'm going over to Van Hyundai to do some test drives (Tucson, as well as Elantra and Elantra Touring). Can anyone recommend a good course for a proper test drive? I'm a first-time new car buyer.

i'm cheap....post up if you need anything done to your XD's! i'm not sure if i ever posted up that i did work at my house but i do and i just recently got a fresh compressor.


an example that i put out there is a the timing belt for 200 bucks and thats with OEM belts. The parts people still give me my tech discount and that savings is passed on to you.

I am planning to get a tint done on my wife's 2003 Elantra...

I have no experience with tinting services, so I was wondering if any of you guys from this area know of a reputable and affordable place you have experience with or have heard good things about...

The Image displayed of the plaque is ProjectTibs but the Photographers will be doing similiar plaques for all Hyundai Cars Entered in this show. The plaques will be available to purchase after the car show. These are professionals that will be taking care of us so get excited!

For information about room accomadations at hotels in downtown, feel free to send me a private message and I will give you the names of some cheaper ones located downtown.

I will be speaking with Charleston tour groups to come to the show and sell Ghost Tour tickets and to have some information on things to do in Charleston so that anyone staying the night will have plenty to do.

Those of you wanting you go out clubing and drinking ill let you in on a secret. In Downtown is College of Charleston and the Ratio of Women to Men is like 75% so dont miss out .

I made flyers for everyone here in Charleston to hand out and I would like it if you would all participate by handing them out as well. Just send me a message with your e-mail and I will be sure to send you the flyer to print out.

The dealership is real excited about this event and plans on doing all they need to make sure this show is well advertised. They will be placing in our local paper and they have given me permission to purchase larger signs to post along key intersections in the area.

This car show will be completely paid for by the dealership so there are no entrance fee's to any of us attending.

Judging will begin around 4pm and trophies will be awarded near 5-5:30. Which should allow anyone driving from out of state to make it with plenty of time.

ShanksRacing will be brining his Video Camera and recording the show and the aftermath and will edit us another Hyundai Show video for everyone to enjoy.

Im working to make this event the best we can have it so work just as hard to get here!

As stated before, me and my girlfiend where looking at getting one of the most popular Radio stations for this show....WELL..
95sx which is a huge Charleston Radio Station will sponsor this event. Now its going to cost the dealership for them to come so we need to push as hard as possible to get more and more people to attend this. There commitment to include the radio station will be determind by the amount of Hyundai's we have coming
NOW this is what the radio station is going to do
They are advertising 1 week before the show (everyday) morning and night.
They will be broadcasting the show live 4 times in 2 hours.
They will be bringing in one of there DJ's well known to Charleston
They will be providing food and drinks for the car show
****!!!**** They will bring in there Wheel of prizes which anyone can play.. which includes
1.) Concert Tickets
2.) River dog ticket (baseball tickets)
3.) Other prizes
4.) Free t-shirts.
This will all be held under a huge tent area they set up
They will also have there 95sx big system/radio van.

I want everyone to understand how big this event can be for all of us hyundai enthusiasts. I need the help of all of you, from bringing in new people.. advertising in other areas.. and handing out the fliers I have made for us.
Lets let this show start a new chapter for us Hyundai owners.
