I am happy to announce that the 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Area Meet (all Hyundai) has officially been scheduled! We would love for all to join us in getting together on a nice summer day enjoying awesome cars, people and food!
The event will once again be held in the Brady's Run Park (same as last year) in Pavilion 14. We are asking for a $7 donation for the sole purpose of supplying a meal for all including drinks, side dishes and a cake. We will be meeting at the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca, PA again to caravan over to the park to limit the amount of possible people getting lost - this worked out extremely well last year and we even had a police escort to help get us all on the road together from the mall. More details will be provided in the near future and the date will then be set in stone. Looking forward to all who can attend! Also - please note that your car does not have to be a "top notch" modded vehicle to attend, we all are car enthusiasts who are looking to have a reason to get together and enjoy a day together!
Here is the Facebook event page for the event - we plan on keeping this updated as best as possible. Also will be helping any and all that will need to be booking a hotel for the stay (getting some hotel names as I write this to start helping everyone).
https://www.facebook.com/events/212093938919512/?ref=3Also: here is the link to the entire photo feed from last year's event (you do NOT need a Facebook page to view the photos)
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4...5037&type=3Here is a photo from last year -

I have created an event in the Calendar section of EC's forum for all to be notified:
http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php...mp;event_id=203This is just a general heads up to any/all who may be looking for an event to simply attend or join. I've never been to the Carlisle show but have heard so many rave reviews that I think this year I will take the hours long car ride and see what it's all about.
I have attached a link to the direct webpage, if anybody is interested - let's all meet up at some point during the show!!

Has anyone found a decent price on getting key 2004 fobs reprogrammed in the Boston/Southern NH area? The cheapest I've found is fifty bucks.
Are there any consumer scan tools that will put the car in program mode?

Hyundai Motor club is up and running on facebook. We have 52 members in the first 3 days of the club. We are looking to go legit and make it a "real" club. Incorporating, insurance for our meets, news letters, etc. Many of our members have expressed delight in the fact that they have finally found a real hyundai club. Join in and invite yourself. We are not turning any request for invites away. Currently it caters to pennsylvania and the tri-state are but we are looking to grow. We will be doing a fall meet once the location and date is determined. One possible option is a track day at Beaver Run Motorsports Complex.
This all started with my june 23rd meet that some EC members attended. check out the main page and the group page to join the club. Give us a "like" on the main page and then request an invite.

There is literally no gas in the Greater New York area. Does anyone know of a gas station that has gas? I think I have enough gas to go 100 miles to get it.
Anywhere in Upstate NY or Connecticut area?

Hyundai Motor Club’s first official meet
OK guys, I have started a Facebook group that exploded way faster than I could have imagined. We are trying to throw together a few quick meets before winter sets in. The first of which will be October 6th at the beaver Valley Mall in Monaca PA, close to where my Pittsburgh meet was this past June. Nothing special. We are going to meet at the mall and then go to dinner afterwards. Like I said this is just a quick meet. If the group isn’t too large we may have a little get together at my house afterwards. So if anyone is interested, please request to join the Facebook group and then you can mark your attendance under the event tab once you have been accepted. Like I said, there is nothing special for this one. We just want to get some of the members together and get some of the people in the club acquainted with each other. Then maybe a fire and a few drinks at my place. We are discussing a meet in Harrisburg later in the month. So please feel free to join in and let’s get at least one last meet in before winter!
Post here as well if you are interested in coming. We have a few EC members and 199 members total in the group

I guess I will be the first person to post about yesterday's Hyundai Meet and Greet that took place in Brady's Run Park. This was my first "meet" rather than being a spectator just going to see all of the cars. I must say I was so impressed with the detail orientation and coordination that took place allowing to make this event the best!
I met so many awesome people and honestly wish everyone didn't live so far away so we could all continue to hang out...all the time! I cannot wait for next year's meet - without a doubt it is going to grow and word is going to quickly spread about how this year's went. Obviously I want to thank Mike and his wife for making everything possible! He is seriously one of the BEST coordinators for an event!
Can't wait to see everyone's photos of the event/cars - oh and we all got professional photos taken of our cars along with group photos! Will upload more photos whenever I get time

Hello,
Upon discussion with other members at ElantraXD, I have decided to carry over the invitation to other forums. Elantra club was suggested specifically by members. My name is Mike and I have been in the hyundai scene for over 11 years now. Although I am currently a lincoln owner. A GK project car is in the discovery phase. Looking for a good car to start on.
Yamaha is no longer hosting the Pittsburgh meet so I have taken over the duty of doing so. Thanks to him for years of dedication to the hyundai crowd.
This thread is for the semi-annual Pittsburgh meet and greet. Just a casual fun day getting to know other forum members.I am hosting the meet this year. It will actually be considered the greater Pittsburgh area, as the meet will be held in Beaver, PA this year.
Confirmed date for the meet is June 23rd.
Location of the meet and cookout is Brady's Run Park near Beaver, PA
We will be coordinating and meeting up at the Beaver Valley mall. It is an easier landmark for everyone to find. We will meet at the mall between 11:30 and 12:30. We will then caravan to the park. The route we will take will be a little longer but it is the best route with the least amount of stoplights and stop signs to separate us. The cook out will be at Pavilion 14. There is a large area for parking where we can line up the cars across the street from the pavilion. There are better locations but as of February, this was one of only 3 left. They were all booked that far in advance.
Food for the cookout will be supplied but I ask for a 5 dollar donation if you will please unless you are contributing to soda or snacks. This can be arranged. If the meet grows large enough, the donation will be requested. This is all coming out of my pocket, but i want to provide a nice experience which is why I don't mind.
For those of you staying from out of town, we have arranged a discounted rate of 89.99 at the Comfort Suites. They are very nice rooms and are worth the money. Jacuzzi suites are available if you wish to upgrade. A cheaper place is right next door for 69.99. They are both new buildings with nice rooms
Reservations made by you are requested as soon as possible at the Comfort Suites. We have reserved a block of 10 rooms. Please tell Lynn that it is for the Elantra XD car club meet and she will set you up.
Comfort Suites (PA386)
1523 Old Brodhead Rd , Monaca, PA, US, 15061
Phone: (724) 728-9480
The after party:
The after party is considered to be by *invitation only*. If you were on the attendance list before 2-27-12, it is already assumed that you have been invited and you are welcome to come to my house after the meet. Others will be invited at my discretion. This is to control the quantity of people at my house, not the quality. If you would like to request an invitation, please feel free to do so.
For the after party:
We will need to know very soon if you intend to crash at my place.
I may be renting a limo bus or providing some form of transportation to the hotel if enough of you stay there. then I will pick you up in the morning to retrieve your cars. I would like everyone to be able to enjoy themselves but I am concerned for your safety and I will make arrangements to make sure you are safe.
The house has a living room and a den.
The kids rooms will be open for sleeping. I also have a sleeper sofa and two couches.
15' metal frame above ground pool
Nice deck
Hot tub
A nice place in the yard for a fire pit later that night.
If you feel like venturing out there are several nice bars in the area, although the town its self is dry.
We will likely be eating a late dinner at the after party. We can discuss chipping in on burgers or steaks as the date approaches.
This is the current attendance list for EXD members. This list is updated as of 2-27-12:

Please state in your post your actual name so that other members can relate your name to you screen name. Also post if you are bringing a guest and what type of Hyundai you will be bringing to the meet. Private message me with your full name and whether or not you are going to get a room or if you are coming to the after party and would like to stay at my place. Please let me know if you intend to get a room even if you do not come to the party. Also PM me your cell phone number in case I need to get a hold of you the day of the meet if a problem should arise.
Owning a Hyundai is not a requirement for this meet although it is certainly encouraged. If you are an old member that has moved on to a different car and would like to come to see old friends, please do not feel discouraged.
Hope to see a good response to this invitation. I look forward to meeting some of you.
Thanks,
Mike
Here is the paypal link for the 5 dollar donation. You can donate at the meet but it would be helpful to have it before hand to pay for the food and supplies. please enter your name when donating so I know who it is from. Please consider donating. This has grown way beyond what I have ever imagined and it gets bigger by a person or two everyday. Thanks - Mike

Hey guys/gals!
So I'm planning on heading to Watkins Glen on the 20th weekend. There is a Fiero meet going on, and my plan is to drive that down there.
They're having a show/shine/prizes, and then some paced laps on the track.
I'm thinking of heading down there Friday and hanging out until Sunday. The main plans are for Saturday and Sunday morning. Friday is just a hang-out at someone's house.
Looks like I'm going to be the only Canada Fiero down there, as everyone else is having plans come up. I'm likely bringing my Fiero out of my parent's garage next weekend, and checking it out this Friday.
If I head down Friday, I'd be up for meeting up with others around that area. Say Binghamton, Elmira, possibly even a detour into PA.... but according to the member map, that seems to be a dead-zone... though I know at least 2 members that used to live there, not sure whether the one still does.... *cough* Jam.. *cough*
What's everyone up to, Friday night, or Sunday morning/afternoon? For Sunday, I do have a ~4-5hr trip back home, so I would be leaving that area around 2ish.
