Took some time, leaving the stock wheels on till they wear then I'm going to hit up some new rims

Rim covers were done with some primer and some matte black spray paint and the badges were done with matte black plasti dip

Got LED interior lights on the way in the mail atm

Next I'm looking to get a spoiler and a rear diffuser but I need some suggestions if anyone can help?

Got her last week and just tinted the windows, not too sure where to go from here. If anyone can give me some ideas and what not that would be sick

with the 15" rims on it now I think I might wait till these tyres are almost dead and buy some 17" black ones.

Lemme know what u think of the look, gonna do a superdrift spoiler and probably some type of rear diffuser. And I haven't decided whether to get the taillights tinted or buy new led tails...

Bought it back in Feb 2013 and haven't really been too active on here. When looking for a wagon I wan't a Diesel in manual (of course!) and grey in colour. At the time this was the only one In the country for sale with low K's so it was a plane trip to NSW and drove her the 930Km home - She didn't break down so that was a plus! - What Impressed me instantly was the torque and the fact that I would fill her up for $80.00 and get 1000+ Km out of a tank. I later realised that even in city traffic she still manages just under 1000km.

Diesel has been a great investment, Maintenance is reasonably low with the only major service item being the fuel filter that needs to be changed more frequently than a petrol car.

Since having her I haven't done all that much to it. I have changed a few things:

- SLX / Trophy grey 16" alloys w/ Yokohama C-Drive rubber
- Installed the 2011 model factory headunit that has Bluetooth integration - I find aftermarket head units aren't as seemless as the factory unit.
- K&N Panel filter
- Rear factory cargo liner.

Given that the only model that has a manual transmission was the base model... I practically have less features than my XD Elantra. - No cruise, no multi function trip computer, no fog lights, no side airbags.

My next project is to get steering wheel audio controls works and the factory cruise control. - given the diesel uses drive by wire, it's supposed to not require too much extra equipment - lets see how that goes.

As you can see in the photo's we also have a brand spankin new GD i30 elite in a 6spd 1.6 CRDi

I've decided the Elantra will be going up for sale. - with the money I want a jet ski!!!

Taking apart the headlight was the MOST annoying thing I ever did

This is my stock 98 Hyundai Elantra, 1.8L 35mpg. Very Basic, Just got it. Its a Working Progress. Its taken some time
to get everything right, but still not done. 2 Tone paint Job came on it, Got Arelli Assassyn rims, Spectre
Cold Air Intake, Strobes in Headlights. Blue themed interior with blue swirl headliner and dash. Completely
Rewired from Headlight to taillights. No Co2 Sensors at all, that's what burned my harness. Its a 5 Speed.
Custom Tachometer built in dash, 2 Batteries, (1 front and 1 trunk) Battery deadlock switch for both, A Dual

Here are some pics of my daily driven 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Not much has been done, Accord cold air intake,New ngk iridium spark plugs,8mm plug wires, New rear speakers,8500k headlight bulbs, Silverstars all around, and some minor painting for 10 extra horsepower.
Future plans are for Ef cat back exhaust, tibby 19mm bar, springs, lots of stereo stuff, and gt alloy wheels.

While I've done some underhood stuff...ground wires, short ram... a bunch of suspension stuff... Tib rear bar, RRM strut bar, 16" Wheels and Falken Tires... and exterior stuff... added updated GT badges a lip spoiler, shorty antenna....

My main thing I really enjoy is the whole interior theme I have going on. The interior was the one area of the car I felt was drab from day one. So I decided to make it look better... well at least for my taste anyway.

I was the first one I know of to add a brushed aluminum dash kit to the car. As a matter of fact half the different EBay sellers seem to use my pic...lol I then added the Tib Aluminum pedals (also one of the first to do so). since then I've added stainless steel "Elantra GT" door sills, added a custom leather E-brake boot and leather handle, added a Razo leather shift knob. Put in a short shifter. I changed my clock color to a cool blue to match the purple/blue gauges. Added chrome door handle trim, chrome tweeter rings, have cool black satin seatbelt pads, replaced my stock '02 deck with the '04 Kenwood MP3 deck... I think that's all I have on now! lol Oh yeah I did a little hi brake mod... is that the interior? I also have the OEM GT mats, cargo tray & net.

There were some things that didn't work out like the chrome air vent covers but I think my interior has the classy Euro sedan look I set out to achieve:

Here is my 1999 Elantra wagon. It's been a long haul for this car. Most of my modifications have been for power and handling. A few have been for safety.

Suggestions appreciated. Please keep in mind that whatever I do to the car next, I have to get my girlfriend jewelry or take her out in compensation!
