I know you may not be able to easily order directly from this site, but... it's possible some Ebay sellers or places like KAI or KSpec can get these. There's a pretty good selection and great pics of the products.

OK, not that I'm into chrome (although, I will admit, that was my intent when I first started looking at modifications), I was browsing eBay a bit this morning for Elantra MD accessories and thought I'd compile a quick list of the lowest prices for anyone who's looking to deck out their Elantra with plenty of chrome:
Window and Mirror TrimLighting TrimBody (doors, grille, etc.)Interior PartsOEM Wheels!Chromed OEM 10-spoke WheelsThey're +38 offset. TireRack goes as low as +42 on 17" wheels. Using the
Wheel/Tire comparer at rimsntires.com, the only possible problem would be sticking out an extra .8" and I'd have to check to see if that would be a problem.

Our XD generation members gave the club tons of DIY projects. So much so, that, our
DIY Zone became a focal point for the club.
Unfortunately, our HD members gave us only a handful of projects.
Hopefully, you UD/MD owners will be a little more hands on and post some Do It Yourself projects for all to see... B)

I know I'm not the first person to put these wheels on this car, but I love the way it looks!
18x8 +40 Niche Targa (M131)

Since I got these... I decided to hand down the stocks to my wife. No more steelies and hubcaps for her! I think they look better on her car than they did on mine. lol

Hi, I just received my Tuix lip and side skirts in the mail for my 2013 MD however it didn't come with any installation hardware. Does anyone know the part numbers or where I can get them from? I'm in Canada.
I've attached pictures of what I'm talking about.
Thanks!

I have read the DYI Project 59 -
http://elantragtclub.tripod.com/elantra/id384.htmlBut I have a 2016 Elantra. I called the dealership and had then email me the new plug diagram. I took my steering wheel cover off and verified the plug. It is not like the old Project 59 plug. It looks like this -
http://txjdb.com/wiring.pngNow I have no idea how to keep my fog lights on when my high beams come on. If any one has the answer I would appreciate their skill.

Just wondering if lights made for 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantras are compatible with a 2015 Hyundai Elantra. Spec-D lights say that they are 2011-2013 only. If not, any suggestions on where I can buy me some nice LED's or HID's?

Hello Community,
I was in the search for an aftermarket exhaust for the baby and was wanting to know if any of you out there have an exhaust they really like the sound of.
Yes, I know that the exhaust is a completely opinion based concept, yet I just want to know what you got and hows it sound. I dont want to sound like im driving a maserati, but just a deep, clean sounding exhaust. No kazoos either please

Today I installed a SRI on my '13 UD Limited. It is not as loud as I expected, much quieter. Even when I'm WOT it's not that bad. It's a shame because I was looking for more noise. I left the factory resonator because it pulls cold air in and blows it right on my filter. I think there is only 4" between them. I think this extra air will help to at LEAST some degree. The car REALLY has better low end pick up. I will post pictures when I take them tomorrow.
I also have a pic of my new rear diffuser I bought on Ebay for $88

any other way to get to the oil filter without removing that bf splash shield? also, is there any other jack points that are in or near the center of the of the front of the car. i know about the jack points on the rocker panels. i see a metal crossmember pretty far back from the engine, but i dont know if it will support the weight of the car.

I am so glad I did it. Took the plunge and switched out the crappy OEM rear shocks to the KYB, p/n: 554384, on my 2012 Elantra Limited. What a great investment. The upgrade completely changed the ride quality of the vehicle from jumpy and unpredictable over bumps to rock solid. Handles so much better and the ride feel transmits a feeling of confidence and stability. The car goes where you point it now and feels like a true sports car, yet is comfortable enough to drive long distances.
Before the change, even the slightest bump or highway expansion joint sent the rear end hopping. Sometimes so much so my wife nearly lost control of the car on the highway. We nearly wrecked at just 60mph; it was a horrifically scary experience. We were both afraid to drive the car after that & were literally crawling along on highways and down side roads trying to avoid every single dip, hole or rut, including manhole covers. People must have thought we were drunk drivers or something crazy like that. That's when I went in search of a solution. The KYB shocks I've read about on the forums did not disappoint.
I highly recommend this as the single most important upgrade investment you could make for your MD (2011-xx) Elantra. I purchased mine from Advance Auto Parts online with a $50 discount coupon code and free shipping, bringing my total to just over $100 for both shocks, which from what I can tell is the best price around by a good amount. Had the dealer install them, which was a hit at $228 labor, plus tax; but, I am recovering with a broken leg after being plowed over by a car while walking across the street. I'm lucky to be alive, but otherwise, I would be doing my own work.

Hi everyone,
I just recently purchased the LED reflectors for my 2013 Elantra GLS,
and I tried installing it with the bumper on, which some people have done.
As I inspected the back of the reflectors from underneath the car, I saw a black plastic stick-like piece that connects to the bottom of the bumper and a black metal bar (impact bar between rear bumper and car?). So I unscrewed the bottom of it that was attached to the bumper, and was able to turn it slightly (couldn't turn it any further). Then I tried to fit my stubby small screwdriver behind the section that connects to the black metal bar, but my stubby screwdriver wasn't small enough to fit behind it.
can anyone with experience chime in for advice?
If you used a stubby small screwdriver, what was the total length?
I think I might need to go buy another one that's shorter than the one I have now.
Thank you in advance!

Hello all! New to this forum, but not to cars
After much searching and googling, I've realized the Elantra had some pretty sweet Instrument Clusters that I did not get one of.. So I'd like to swap it out. One thing I can't seem to find concrete info on is whether the Odometer is stored on the Cluster itself, or in the ECM like some of my previous vehicles. I know in my '03 Tiburon, it was stored within the cluster and required either a reprogram or some sort of Frankenstein operation to have the correct miles displayed.
Right now I'm rocking the good old plain edition:
In short, if I pop a sportier cluster in (see below) would the mileage be correct for my chassis? Really trying to avoid mashing two clusters if I can avoid it...
Thanks for any info y'all may have, oh and thanks for letting me join the club! I never would have guessed these cars would have such a fun following!

Im not looking to spend over 150 and i have a 2012 gl. thanks

Here is my response to an exorbitant saving performed by HMC in case of Elantra - a simple IKEA - DIODER, LED battery-operated lamp for drawer.
Assembly time - 30 seconds.
Works perfect, lighting up automatically whenever the box is being opened!
Not everyone likes Egyptian Darkness to face there...

Hey Guys, I want to improve the suspension on my '14 GLS. As most of us already know, it's bouncy and sags too low when heavily loaded. I do a lot of camping trips (cargo box, bikes, kayaks) and carry supplies for work as well. I've read about replacing the shocks and adding a sway bar but its the springs that need to be stiffer too right? A few friends have told me to get coil overs. They have many benifits but I don't feel the need to spend a whole lot of money as I don't use this car to race. What would be the best economical solotion? Any body know of any cheap coil overs that would do the trick?

Hey all,
I purchased a 2014 Elantra Sport because I was looking for a 4 door sedan, and liked the features that came with the sport (larger displacement motor, push button starter, sunroof, leather heated seating,
6 speed manual trans) and the dealer I purchased from had it on a special offer that I couldn't refuse. I am wondering about interchange parts with other trim levels. I love the looks of the coupe front end.
Is it possible to purchase the bumper cover/grille/foglights etc. from a coupe and install them on the sedan? If so, will my current headlamps work with this front end? I was also disspointed that the sport
model did not come with the technology package. I don't really care for the bluelink setup, but I would like the OEM navigation head unit. This also is paired with an amp that is situated on the right hand side
of the trunk...and the xm+ gps antenna. Anyone ever attempt to retrofit a sport with these modifications? I would also be interested in an auto dimming mirror with homelink setup, but many posts online have
pointed me to the manufacturer that Hyundai sources from, so OEM swap isn't as crucial here....Anyone had any success here or am I going to be the first to post about this topic?

Looking to pick up a set of wheels for the summer.
Since this is my first new car, I wanna make sure I get the proper offset.
I'm a big fan of poke and stretch so I want to run an offset and width that would allow me to poke slightly with a bit of stretch. I'm looking at 17x8 with a 205/40 but have no idea what offset to get.
Even if I just find out the oem offset, I'll just run spacers...
These are the rims I'm looking at..

This was my first attempt at using Plasti Dip. I've known I wanted to do this since I purchased the car. To me it looks much better. Share your thoughts.
