QUOTE (dl01elantra @ Dec 22 2010, 02:21 AM) *
again thanks for the support and interest, i hope to be able to start it tomorrow. also only1db ill fill you guys in about how i wired everything, i had to splice three elantra connectors on the interior side onto the tiburon harness and the connector for the windshield wiper motor (wipers were easy, only five wires if i remember correctly). I just want to make sure i have everything correct on those three interior connector before i give specifics.

yo dude, you never said exactly which couple of connectors you had to manually splice in, aside from the wiper motor. I am to understand you used the engine harness, engine junction box, tiburon IP box and dash harness.

been planning doing this exact swap for about 6 years now, congrats on beating me to it !
i plan on doing this a little differently as full dropouts as i have two lifts and chasis dollys at my disposal. my only concern is which connectors you had to re-pin. does the XD cluster plug/play into the GK harness ? do all 4 of your windows roll down ? etc etc..

planning on dropping this whole puppy right out on its cradle and inside a red '03 XD GT. luckly its allready a manual trans/rear disc/non-abs car.

still running strong! Newest mods include: raceland coilovers, bridgestone blizzak tires, and of course the snowboard rack (about a year old).

looks good. i have a champagne I-4 bolt-on + nitrous car. Im on 16" wheels though. Good looking swap. We need to get together and get some races on to see if the v6 swap is better than a bolt-on + nitrous car.

Still haven't ran it at the track yet, but would like to at some point. Its currently my dd so I try to be nice to it. Sounds like you have a nice ride!
