I'm not sure if theese two things are tied together or not, but they seem to be. Everytime I take my car to a garage and they put it up on the lift. I get my car back and it has the airbag light on. Then I have to take my code reader and reset it. Codes never come up but they are reset. Is it something with how the lift lifts the car? I mean when I jack a whole end of the car up I never get the light to come on. DOes anybody else experience this?

I never had the light come on when the car goes up on the lift.

I think I know what the problem is.

When I move the front seats around sometimes the airbag light comes on. If a tall guy gets in your car to move it they probably move the seat around.

Seems the airbag connectors under the seats are not very good and sometimes just moving them causes connection issues and then the light comes on. There was a recall for this, and to be honest I never took it in yet. I should get on that.
Also, if you get something that gets under the seat, like for me water bottles, those will hit the connectors too and make that airbag light come on.

Anyway, I don't have a link for the recall, but you should look into it. Also you could just reach under the seat each time, for me it's mostly the passenger seat, and then move the connectors around, trying to make sure they are together properly. Works for me every time.

My car acutally had the recall done. and for me it would be a shorter person my seats the whole way back. The thing is I've moved my seat around and the light never came on.
