Do you use anything on your windshield and windows? If so, what do you use and how do you like it.?

Over the years I have occasionally waxed a windshield but haven't in a long time so I am not familiar with what works and what doesn't.
I am familiar with Rain-X but have never used it and I have read some good stuff about a product called Aquapel.
What are your experiences with any of these products?

I've used Rain-x a few times on my elantra but the reoccurring issues I've seen is a weird oily look on my cars body and on the glass. No matter how much little I've used it's left an oily appearance.

If anyone has used a product that didn't leave a weird residue let me know... I'll need something for the truck.

Here's an interesting product that you actually use on your worn wipers...

Hey-I use rain x on the shower glass doors in the bathrooms. Keeps the glass from getting mineral deposits and makes it easy to towel off after each use.
I used rain x on a car windshield many years ago. It reduced the friction between the wipers and glass to the point the wipers would basically jump across the glass. I couldn't remove the rain x to stop this but a rock hit the windshield a few weeks later and the windshield was replaced. End of problem! Rain x is great on the side windows though. The drops just roll off while driving and makes for better vision thru those windows while it's raining.

I used Rain-X religiously when I lived in Oregon, and it made a world of difference in the rain. If I was going 40mph+, all but the heaviest of rains just blew off the glass, I hardly needed my wipers. Don't go too crazy applying it, a thin layer is all it takes. Be sure to buff it off thoroughly or you'll see a patchy glaze in the sun.
