I just purchased and used CV (Crystal Vision) brand headlight restorer defogger and I am really happy with the results and ease of use.
The kit comes in a small pouch that I paid $20 for at Autozone. It consists of several pieces of wet sand paper, polishing cloth's and a polymer sealant. and took about 20 minutes to do both lights. You start out with a coarse wet sandpaper and sand the surface for 3 minutes, then you dry it off to see if all the imperfections are gone. after that you sand for 1 minute with the fine wet sand paper and smooth out the surface. After that you give the first light time to dry thoroughly and move on to the second light and repeat the procedure. When you are done with the second light you go pack to the first and apply a pea sized dab to one of the polishing cloth's and rub it onto the surface of the lens in the same direction. While this is drying you move over to the second light and do the same thing and then repeat it on both lenses again. After about 5 minutes it is safe to drive your car again and it is OK after a day to was your car. They have a website www.MYheadlight.com -------------------- |

Cool! Thank you! I've been lamenting my foggy old-looking headlights even when the car is washed/waxed but new headlights aren't cheap just for aesthetics. I had pondered getting myself some sandpaper... this is great, and only $20. Neat o

guy who bought my old car did this and the headlights came out awesome. my lights were so foggy i was having trouble seeing at night - this made them crystal clear. i was so impressed i kept the wrapper so that i could go and get the same product later when i eventually needed it.

I couldn't find it at AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts around here. I may have to order it online.

Get some 1500-grit wet/dry sandpaper and some Meguiar's Plast-X. Does the same job for about $10 less.
