So, in preparation for the upcoming season, I had ordered the Kinetic Motorsports exhaust. Nice piece, very quiet, nice pickup in power. Now that the air was getting out of the engine, I needed to get more into it. After looking into a dozen different CAI's and short rams I settled on the RoadRaceMotorsports "Mid-Ram" http://roadracemotorsports.com/store/index...products_id=614

I chose this one for 2 main reasons: 1.) it was priced better than the competition ($190 shipped) and 2.) it came with ECU brackets so I could remove the entire stock setup. Injen and K&N both require the stock box and air ram/hose to stay installed to hold the ECU in place. Not a fan of ADDING weight to the car. In the end, this is what I took off/removed:

Here's the ECU Bracket:

And here's where the filter goes:

It removed 8 LBS off the nose. New parts weighed in at 1.4lbs. Old parts at 9.2lbs. Add in that, just like the XD, it now pulls to redline (6750 in this case compared to the Beta's 6200) with no drop in power as it reaches it. On top of that, you can actually hear what the engine is doing. No longer will it be called the "silent auto-x'er"!

Its funny you say that. Had a guy run out in front of me because he couldn’t hear my car. Stopped in time but was still funny.

That was pretty funny, after that heat he came over and was like "your car is too quite!"
