Why, oh why cann't people see the need for snow tires.
And get the dumb ass in the middle of the road, doing 30 kph, with shaved tires, off to the side!
Oh well, after 3 hours to drive 50 KM (a 45 min drive) i just needed to vent.
Have a nice day. May your wipers stick to your face.

I know all to well about this! Wish you safe travels in this winter weather
we gots mad rains yo.
lol yeah reminds me of me last year in that flash blizzard with my all season yokohama avids on 18's .... bad idea
I stayed home today.
I usually have an hours drive or more to Toronto.
Today, it would have been crazy to attempt.
Luckily I didn't need to go in.
We've got about a foot of snow.
I've got snow tires on both cars.
not sure what constitutes a haiku but thats how i read it....
they said all this non fluffy precip is part of same system
being in a econoline van all day with only two back wheels driving me, snow would be a bad bad bad thing
not too mention the quarter mile dirt road that NEVER gets plowed in fromt of my house
Yesterday we had rain. Today I opened my sunroof and enjoyed the near 60 degree partially sunny day. Enjoy the snow! That's why I moved south.
No snow here yet, but tonight we're supposed to get about 15-20cm. Tomorrow is supposed to bring 25-35cm with gusting winds to 100km/h. I'm on call this week and if I can't resolve an issue via VPN, I'll have to go into the office.
"Behold!!!!, the abominable tech-man!"
We had about .0000001" of freezing rain.
This is the current condition where I live. Not bad but roads are NOT being plowed until tomorrow according to local websites.
Vinnie, if it makes you feel better, your storm is nothing like the week our area got 60+ inches in one week:
Yea that's a parking lot.. and cars. Took a long time to dig out of that.
That is what I want. I want triple that. I need justification for my truck... oh shit... power is starting to flicker as I type.
Seriously, snow tires should be mandatory. I was following an Ontario plated car the other day and they had all season tires... Holy crap dude, just park your car! lol
Seriously, when I lived in Ottawa, I still had winter tires even though it's not mandatory... But now that I live in Quebec, it's law!
Friday drive home was "fun" again.
The 401 HWY is 6 lanes wide and there are 8 sets of tire ruts going in all directions.
Some people think they need 30 ft of road width to travell straight down the road.
But then there wasn't much plowing being done.
So when i get home do i relaxe? No, its time to get the snow blower working, after 2 years of storage.
After plowing the drive way and side walks i had to go down the street and plow the road so the guy
next door can get into his driveway, yea. no snow tires.
Cann't wait for Monday morning to drive to work again.
Winter, bah

Oh you guys are such whiners! Come 2 hours north of Toronto (aka the Center of the World) where every time it snows the highways are closed because you can't see anything now that's a fun drive at might XD
You guys should come to Niagara Falls...All the tourists from the south who have never driven in snow before...just amazing !!!
Got a foot and half of snow give or take yesterday....
Bombed through it like nothing when I got home from work...
